Blogging “Newbie” Wants You To Have His Software

I’m evaluating a multi-media course on blogging from the folks at Simpleology. For a while, they’re letting you snag it for free if you post about it on your blog.

It covers:

  • The best blogging techniques.
  • How to get traffic to your blog.
  • How to turn your blog into money.

I’ll let you know what I think once I’ve had a chance to check it out. Meanwhile, go grab yours while it’s still free.

We Lost Our Oldest Customer Today…..

In the late 1980′s United Airlines produced an advert that spoke more to “business values” than it did for “air travel.” A company president laments the loss of his oldest customer, realizes that the familiar way of doing business has become so much more impersonal and electronic, rather than the old face-to-face, relationship based, handshake to seal the deal way of conducting business. Life-long customers were expected and they were built on “relationships.” He has a plan to set this right, and shares it with his team.

This advert was done prior to e-mail, the Internet, wireless phones, pda’s and the other electronic tools that have become standard in our work. It is as relevant today as it was 20 years ago, maybe more so. View the video below and see how the mesage resonates with you.

The overarching theme of the advert has stayed with me ever since I saw it for the first time. I’m so pleased that it can be viewed on YouTube today. Take a look and then share your comments!

Welcome to Social Media Business Results!

Hello There!

February 10, 2009 marks the re-birth of Social Media Business Results.  Just having returned from Ken McArthur’s JVAlert Live conference, held in Orlando, Florida, I’ve brought back an incredible amount of information and ideas about my Website and Blog.   Merging the Website and Blog was one of the take-aways, and this is the result.

I have moved a few of my older posts from my former blog and now I’m starting fresh.

This blog has been created to continue the conversation around the trend of using Social Media and Social Networking as an efficient way to connect with customers and clients.  Social Media and Web 2.0 technology provide a unique and easy way to build effective and lasting business relationships on a  global scale.

Social Media is but one strategic part of your marketing strategy, and provides a new access for customers, clients, students, vendors and service providers for getting to know you much, much better.  It means having people buy from you because they know, like, and trust you and have a feeling of connectedness with you, they know who you are and want to experience the value you give to them.

In this blog I’ll share with you,  my inspired reader,  what I’ve learned, practiced and implemented around Social Media strategies which will assist you in providing services to your clients and help you grow your business as well as theirs.

We’ll have some fun too.  You’ll get to know me, who I am for the world, and what I’m up to.  I’ll share with you some of my insights, thoughts and feelings about business, the Internet, Marketing, Networking and other topics that I feel you will connect with, as an entrepreneur in the 21st century.

I can help you with your business challenges and any issues you have about using Social Media as a marketing strategy.  Welcome to the World of Web 2.0, and Social Media.

Are you ready to begin the journey, great, let’s go!
