Meet Steve

Allow me to introduce myself. I am Steve Ulrich and I live in Columbus, OH. I grew up in New York City and left home right after the U.S. Bicentennial Celebration in 1976. I was married in 1979, raised two extraordinary children who are now in their twenties, and the marriage ended in 2010 so we could follow our own individual paths. My path led to entrepreneurship, a coaching business, which evolved into a company providing online services, web development, social media consulting, and the way for my clients to get results on the Internet reaching and connecting with more people than they ever thought possible.

I would love to share a litte of my business history with you to give you a feel for who I am:

I was awarded a Master’s Degree in Student Personnel work in 1978 from The Ohio State University, and promptly left that career in the dust. I have spent my life in a variety of postions, most notably programming and marketing. I worked for Time-Warner Cable for many years in Customer Support, Sales and then IT Development. I left in 1989 to join the electronic commerce firm of Sterling Commerce, purchased by AT&T, now a part of IBM. Immersed in IT from the customer and marketing sides, I stopped writing code and became a trainer, quality assurance specialist, product manager and finally an international marketing specialist focused on the Asia-Pacific region.

In 2007 I answered the “entrepreneur” call and became a short-lived life coach. Social Media was becoming very hot and I leveraged my coaching skills and my IT skills to coach people around having a presence on social networks and getting used to the new ways of doing business. I quickly learned WordPress and shifted my focus to Web Design, Web Hosting, and Social Media Consulting delivering a “Complete Web Presence” for my clients.

Along with my techical background, I have been a devotee of many personal growth programs and experiences. In college I was part of a Human Relations curriculum which included encounter groups, small group experiences, leadership training and organizational development. I am an “est” graduate, Landmark Education student and coach, and have participated in training offered by The Hendricks Institute. Spiritually, I’ve found a home at the Columbus Center for Spiritual Living, after immersion in the movie “The Secret” and following the work of Abraham-Hicks. I’ve built a separate website called The Inspiration Clearing where I have inspriational, motivational, and transformational videos and resources designed to assist you on your personal life journey. Please visit that site when you get the opportunity. You’ll be amazed at the personal transformation you’ll walk away with just by sampling some of the resources on that site.

I blog often, perhaps not often enough, and I have a lot to share with you about online trends, business trends, customer relationships, and ways to promote you and your business. I write a newsletter called xxx and by signing up in the box to the right you’ll be added to the mailing list to receive the newsletter and other updates from me.

I’m a sports buff, not fanatic, and I follow the New York teams more than the Ohio teams. You can take the man out of the city, but cannot take the city’s teams away from the man. Therefore the Giants, the Jets, the Mets, the Yankees, the Knicks, and the Rangers, have all come with me to Ohio. I do root for the Columbus Crew (MLS), the Columbus Blue Jackets (NHL), and of course, The Ohio State Buckeyes (all sports), since they are all Columbus, OH based. As an OSU alumnus, Ohio State athletics becomes a part of you.

I love the outdoors, love my bicycle, driving in the country, hiking, and just being in nature. I am a budding photographer, game player, and have this personal addiction to the computer, so you can look for me on social networks, primarily Facebook.

I love the Web, love to work with clients, I’m all about growth and development, and getting your message out in the ways that work best for you, and creating websites that truly represent my clients, giving them access to the online presence they want to have for themselves and their businesses.

As we get to know each other better you’ll learn more about me and I’ll get the chance to get to know you as well. Looking forward to that very much!
